The film HOP is an computer-animated character feature film on live-action presented by Universal Studios and Illumination Entertainment. Directed by Tim Hill, the same director who created the "Alvin & the Chipmunks", with stars Russell Brand (Arthur), James Marsden, Kaley Cuoco, Elizabeth Perkins, Hugh Laurie and David Hasselhoff as himself. The film is schedule for release in April 1, 2011 in US and UK.

PLOT:
Russell Brand lends his voice to the bunny named Easter Bunny (E.B.) in this film. The young E.B. runaway from home (Easter Island) and went to Hollywood to pursue his long dream of becoming a professional drummer. He left Easter Island at the time when he is about to take over his father’s business and is hit by an out of work lazybones, Fred O’Hare played by James Marsden. Now faking his injury from the crush, E.B. manipulates Fred to take him in as he recovers. As Fred struggles with the world's worst house guest, both will learn what it takes to finally grow up, as Fred is pressed to partner with E.B. to save Easter

NEWS:
  • The character of the Easter Bunny was designed by Peter de Sève, most famous for the work on the Ice Age characters. The CG part of the film is being made by Los Angeles based Rhythm and Hues Studios.
  • UNIVERSAL CITY, CA, January, 27, 2011 – Apple’s recently announced number one all time top paid U.S. iPhone application, Doodle Jump, will soon receive a visit from E.B., the star of Universal and Illumination Entertainment’s upcoming live action/CG-animated comedy Hop. Set for release in February, the free software update will allow Doodle Jump users to unlock a secret Easter level within the game and play as the film’s leading character.
  • Hop is the second film from Universal and blockbuster filmmaker Chris Meledandri’s (Despicable Me) Illumination Entertainment. Blending state-of-the-art animation with live action, Hop tells the comic tale of Fred (James Marsden), an out-of-work slacker who accidentally injures the Easter Bunny (Russell Brand) and must take him in as he recovers. Hop is helmed by Tim Hill, director of the blockbuster film Alvin and the Chipmunks and produced by Chris Meledandri’s Illumination Entertainment. The film will be released April 1, 2011.
  • In Doodle Jump, players guide a lovable character, Doodle The Doodler, on his journey up a sheet of graph paper. Using some of the most subtle and accurate tilt controls in existence, players help Doodle spring up to towering heights as they compete for high scores. Spoofed by Jimmy Fallon on Late Night, used as a fashion statement by a Lady Gaga dancer, mentioned on The Big Bang Theory, and obsessively played by celebrities from Rainn Wilson to the Jonas Brothers, Doodle Jumphas permeated pop-culture since its release in March 2009.

  • On November 20, 2010, the first teaser poster was released online, showing E.B. standing among chocolate bunnies. Three days later, the first trailer was released showing him playing the drum intro to Blur's Song
  • On November 23, 2010; the trailer was posted on AOL and YouTube, then it was shown with The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Yogi Bear, and Gulliver's Travels. Part of the trailer was also shown on the 84th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. An official full-length trailer appeared on the movie's website and on YouTube on February 9, 2011, then it was in front of Gnomeo and Juliet and Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. Three 30-second TV spot commercials have been released, and all three have been uploaded to YouTube on March 7, 2011
